Microblading is all the rage… What is it and why is it worth your investment?
Eyebrows make a statement when you walk into the room. Brow products and services have skyrocketed in the beauty-industry, taking rank as the “beauty obsession of the decade.”
Trends have come and gone in eyebrow style over the decades. In the 1940s Marlene Dietrich’s pencil-thin eyebrows were all the rage. While in 2016, Cara Delevingne took the spotlight for her full and bushy dark brows.
Regardless of your style, the introduction of microblading services allows anyone to take control of their brow look.
What is Eyebrow Microblading?
Drawing on your eyebrows with a brow pencil is a one-day solution to highlighting and darkening your eyebrows. At the end of the day, you wash the makeup off and start over tomorrow.
Microblading is a semi-permanent technique, similar to tattooing, that creates perfectly groomed, natural looking full eyebrows.
The ink used for microblading is much lighter and less concentrated than tattoo ink, microblading ink is designed for facial skin and to have a natural look.
Who should consider getting microblading?
Anyone who is using an eyebrow product every day can benefit from getting their brows filled and darkened. You will have the confidence of all-day lasting, full and natural looking eyebrows.
Regardless of your hair color, microblading is a great solution for you. Custom shades of tint are created to perfectly match your brow and hair color.
There are some limits to medical and skin conditions that may prevent an individual from getting it done.
What kind of tools are used for microblading?
A spool brush is combed through your brows and a light cleanser to keep the area clean. A measurement tool lines up the shape of your desired arches and outlined with a drawing pencil.
A state-of-the-art blade tool made up of small, fine point is used to deposit the color pigment. The blade allows for hair like precision application with control.
How long does microblading last?
Depending on your skin type, microblading can last from anywhere between 1-2 years. We recommend getting touchups between that time period to redefine the depth of pigment.
The investment of microblading not only saves you the money spent on products but hours of time applying, reapplying and removing brow makeup.
We find that this makeup technique provides a new layer of confidence and relief in their day-to-day #BrowGoals routine.
How much does microblading cost?
At Canvas Salon, we factor in two microblading sessions for the price of $450. Additionally, we also offer a microblading touchup service within the first year at a reduced rate of $150.

Is there any post-application aftercare?
After your appointment, we recommend that you avoid extended periods of direct sunlight for the first two weeks. To extend the life of your new brows it’s important to use an SPF 30 or higher anytime you are spending time in the sun.
